About This Place

Nestled in the heart of Greater Manchester at 25 Sackville Street, Arnero Indian Restaurant Manchester is a gem for lovers of authentic Indian cuisine. This inviting eatery offers a warmly welcoming atmosphere where the delicate scents of Indian spices set the scene for a memorable dining experience. Whether you’re a fan of rich, creamy curries or vibrant vegetarian dishes, Arnero caters brilliantly to varied palates with a carefully curated menu that promises bold flavors and fresh ingredients.

The culinary journey at Arnero begins with enticing starters like crisp Vegetable Samosa Chaat and the ever-popular Onion Bhaji, each bite bursting with texture and seasoning. For main courses, diners often find themselves returning for the decadent Butter Chicken, perfectly balanced with a creamy, velvety sauce that coats tender chicken pieces. Vegetarians are equally spoiled for choice here, with standout dishes such as Paneer Makhni—homemade cottage cheese simmered in a luscious tomato and aromatic spice blend—and the Bhindi Do Pyaza, where crispy fried okra is tossed with sautéed onions and just the right kick of spices.

The rice options form the perfect accompaniment, from the fragrant Mushroom Rice to the more indulgent Lamb Biryani, which is slow-cooked with succulent meat infused with layers of deep, aromatic spices. The Indian Bread Basket, featuring fluffy Garlic Naan and traditional Tandoori Roti, is ideal for scooping up every last drop of sauce. Small touches like a refreshing Cucumber Raita or a selection of poppadoms with relishes round out the meal beautifully.

Arnero’s atmosphere is relaxed yet lively, a place that balances professionalism with a genuine neighborhood vibe. Customers consistently praise the friendly, attentive staff who make you feel instantly welcome—a crucial part of what keeps patrons returning. Olivia Mills highlights the restaurant’s clear allergen labeling and excellent vegetarian selections, a testament to the care Arnero takes to ensure a comfortable experience for all diners. Jake Lowery’s praise for the expertly spiced vegetarian feast, and Amy Johnson’s appreciation for the richly flavored paneer makhani and chicken dhansak, further underscore the kitchen’s dedication to authentic taste and quality.

The restaurant does well to maintain speedy service without sacrificing quality, keeping the momentum of a satisfying meal flowing smoothly. The modest setting, occasionally a bit bustling during peak hours, adds to the authentic charm rather than detracting from it, as Jim’s review reflects on the lively atmosphere paired with quick, efficient staff and prompt food delivery.

For anyone craving a genuine Indian dining experience in Manchester, Arnero Indian Restaurant offers a menu that celebrates tradition with a fresh touch—every dish crafted to tantalize the taste buds and evoke the warmth of classic Indian hospitality.

Such a lovely restaurant! Delicious and authentic food, great speedy service and lovely friendly staff! They had great vegetarian options which was great to see, and labelled allergens clearly (including gluten free). Would happily return

Absolutely stunning food and fantastic service. The menu caters really well for all sorts of tastes and we were able to order a vegetarian feast with ease. The dishes are really well spiced and incredibly flavourful. We especially enjoyed the golgappa and the malai kofta! Sadly I forgot to take pictures of the food because we were too busy eating! The service was swift and friendly and we’ll be back soon I’m sure!

Chose to come here on short notice and so pleased with the choice. Gorgeous, rich curries that were so flavoursome. We had the paneer makhani and chicken dhansak and both were absolutely delicious. Really friendly and welcoming staff that made the whole experience.

Small, welcoming neighbourhood Indian restaurant. I ate early so it was pretty quiet but the staff were very friendly and efficient. Quite a small menu compared to some Indian but the food was fresh, tasty and well presented and the prices are very reasonable too. The coriander and pea pilau rice was a nice change. Both Kingfisher and Cobra on draft. Worth a visit if you are in the area.

Booked a table here Was very busy when we came in which is always a good sign. Was really loud. No music was playing but you wouldn’t be able to hear it anyways Table for two. The place was clean but the table was a tad bit small The waitresses were nice The starters were standard popadoms and sauces tray but no hot sauce Got severed quickly and the food came out fast too. No hanging about The chicken was one of the best I have tasted. Was very decent cuts of meat. You could tell its quality. Wasn’t that big of a portion size but worth the money. Very nicely spiced too. Wasn’t too hot but lovely kick to it. The nan was a bit hard so overcooked and again wasn’t that big or thick Overall a great place to come out to eat Keep up the good work guys

Lovely food, the lamb chops and lamb shank were exceptional! The garlic naan was also delicious! Would definitely recommend going and was very reasonable in terms of price, especially for drinks in Manchester city centre.
